Stimaro is an estimating tool built for marine and heavy civil contractors who don't want to be forced into someone else's workflow. Instead of asking you to change how your team estimates, Stimaro is designed to be configured around how you already work.

What you can do with Stimaro

The four things you'll use most:

• Create estimates — build out projects with line items, quantities, and pricing
• Build custom cost libraries — set up your own labor rates, equipment costs, materials, and subcontractor pricing the way your business actually tracks them
• Generate bid sheets — turn your internal estimate into a customer-facing bid document
• Export reports — pull the data out in formats that work for your team, your accounting system, or your customers

Stimaro has additional features beyond these four. As you get comfortable with the basics, you'll discover what else fits your workflow.

Who uses Stimaro

Stimaro is built for the people in your company who actually put estimates together. Depending on your company size, that might be:

• A dedicated estimator (in larger shops)
• A project manager who estimates alongside their other work
• The owner or partner doing estimates personally (common in smaller marine and civil shops)

What to expect in your first week

Onboarding starts with sharing your current estimating process with us — through a kickoff call or written intake, whichever fits your schedule. Once we have what we need, your workspace is typically configured within 5-7 business days. Most customers can build a full real-world estimate within the same week. You won't need to spend a month learning the software before it's useful.

One thing not to do

Don't try to rework your entire estimating process to fit the software.

The whole point of Stimaro is that it adapts to your workflow, not the other way around. If you find yourself thinking "I guess we have to change how we do this because the software wants it that way," stop and contact us. We'll either show you how to do it your way, or we'll adjust the configuration. Either way, you shouldn't be working around the tool.
