Installing Stimaro

This article walks you through installing Stimaro on a Windows computer. The install usually takes less than 10 minutes from start to finish.

Before you start

You'll need:

• A Windows 10 or 11 computer
• Permission to install software on the computer (admin rights — usually fine on your own machine, sometimes restricted on a company-managed computer)
• The Stimaro download link, which is included in your account access email

Stimaro is currently available for Windows only. If you need Mac support for your team, please let us know at [email protected] — we'll add Mac support based on customer demand.

Step 1: Download Stimaro

Open the download link from your account access email. The download will start automatically. The file is approximately 800 MB.

Save the file somewhere easy to find — your Downloads folder is fine.

Step 2: Run the installer

Double-click the downloaded .exe file.

Windows may show a prompt asking "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" Click Yes to continue. This is standard for installing any software and gives the installer permission to add Stimaro to your computer.

The installer will then ask you to:

1. Choose where to install Stimaro. The default location (your Program Files folder) works for most users. If you need to install somewhere else, click Browse and pick the location.
2. Click Next, then click Finish when prompted.

The install takes a few minutes on most computers.

Step 3: First launch

When the install finishes, Stimaro will open automatically. You'll also find a Stimaro shortcut on your desktop and in your Start menu for future launches.

The first time you open Stimaro, you'll be prompted to sign in. See Your first sign-in for what to expect.

Troubleshooting

The installer won't run, or I get an error. Make sure you're on Windows 10 or higher and that you have permission to install software on the computer. If you're on a company-managed computer, you may need help from your IT department. If you're stuck, email [email protected] and we'll help you sort it out.

I need to install on a Mac. Stimaro is currently Windows only. Mac support is not on our near-term roadmap, but we're tracking customer interest — please let us know at [email protected] if Mac support would be important for your team.
